About Hart Behaviour
Hart Behaviour was established in 2017 by companion animal behaviourist, Ashleigh Hart-McCafferty.
Ashleigh has had a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes since a young age. Growing up on a farm in the Eastern Cape allowed her to be exposed to all sorts of pets, including the usual dogs, cats and horses, but also - sheep, goats, cows, rats etc. This has always been where she feels most at home.
Originally pursuing a career in film, Ashleigh decided in 2014 that she needed a change. She had always wanted to work with animals, and upon her relocation to Johannesburg, she decided that it was time to make that dream a reality. And so she enrolled with COAPE SA for their diploma course. She has since graduated and is now a COAPE qualified, CAPBT SA affiliated companion animal behaviourist. Ashleigh offers her consulting services throughout Johannesburg. She works primarily with dogs and cats, but is constantly expanding her skill set and is open to the possibility of working with exotic pets too. Ashleigh has also been involved in animal rescue and is passionate about helping abandoned and abused animals find the right forever home. Shelters needing help with behavioural cases are more than welcome to e-mail us.
Hart Behaviour also offers one-on-one training sessions. If you have any queries regarding these, please feel free to get in touch.
